Research Center for Organic Electronics (Yonezawa city), a research institute of Yamagata University, developed a 0.5mm thick sheet-type sensor enable to measure heartbeat and respiration only by laying under the mattress. This sensor can be utilized for watching system and health management for the users and the patients in nursing facility and hospital. ND Softeware Co., Ltd. (Nanyo city), a nursing care system manufacture, made the product commercialized and will begin selling from November.
