Yamagata University released that they will start a research development on thin-type sensor sheets placed under bed to monitor pulse and respiratory condition. University-originated venture company Future Ink Corporation got this support project from Small and Medium Enerprise Agency, aiming to develop sensors (thinness 0.5mm, price 30,000 Yen) by the end of March, 2020.

A joint proposal "Development of large-area pulse sensor sheets applied for nursing and health care" submitted by Yamagata University and Future Ink Corporation was accepted. The development will be started with a grand 9,750,000 yen.
