Yamagata University released on Aug, 9 that a project on formulation of draft international standards for bendable OLED was adopted by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI). While draft standards for planar OLED panel are under review by International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) , bendable OLED has not been assumed yet. This project is aiming to take the leadership for Japan to formulate the international standards especially on safety and performance when OLED has been bended and extended repetitively.
