A research related to nanolevel metallic oxide film formation developed by Prof Fumihiko HIROSE of Yamagata University was adopted by JST's "Program for Creating STart-ups from Advanced Research and Technology" (START). Through this program, the research team could get 100 million yen grant up to 3 years and aim to establish a venture company that can do coating business on precision equipments or parts.
