演 題： Magic ALPACAs: Flexible Electronics from Functional Devices to Digital-Physical Interfaces
概 要：An overview of our team’s research, from functional materials and fundamental devices
to applications in wearables, sensors and user interfaces, will be presented.
Underpinned by the recently-awarded EPSRC Early Career Fellowship (Project ALPACA),
the core activity focuses on microelectronic devices with increased functionality,
speed and manufacturability.
The new multimodal transistor allows highly efficient analogue signal processing and could be
an essential component of future ultra-low cost, printed circuits with unconventional operation.
Transistor and circuit development is complemented by fully printed memristive devices that
“remember” their interaction with the environment and ecological, flexible energy storage solutions.
These strands converge to enable powerful distributed sensors and intuitive user interfaces
(e.g. Magic Bookmark) that bridge the physical and digital worlds.
